Adaptive Solutions was founded in 1997 to serve in an advisory capacity interfacing with international governmental and non-governmental organizations, armed services, donor agencies, and populations in crisis for the purpose of advancing peace and security.
Dr. Dianna Wuagneux, pronounced: “One-You”, is currently an International Advisor specializing in Fragile States and Nations in Transition. E.g. as a Senior Advisor to the joint DoS/DoD M&E, training and peacekeeping operations, including the US Global Security Contingency Fund, the Partnership for Regional East Africa Counterterrorism, and the Trans-Sahara Counterterrorism Partnership, involving the design & assessment of relevant stabilization, training and CVE/PVE programs, largely in response to unrest in Ukraine and the South China Sea; as well as the destabilizing effects of armed violence by non-state actors, such as Boko Haram, Al-Shabaab, Taliban, Al Qaeda & ISIS in Yemen, Africa and the Middle East.
She has served the UN as a Senior Peace Advisor, a M&E Senior Advisor to the US Embassy in Russia, the US liaison to command with the US Embassy, US Military & ISAF in the Balkans, Afghanistan & Iraq, is the Cofounder & Chair Emeritus of the International Center for Ethno-Religious Mediation in NY, a SME and trainer to the DoD & DoS in the US & abroad for matters of conflict mitigation & interagency relations. As a member of the UN Bureau for Crisis Prevention and Recovery and the Harvard University Eurasia Experts Network, Dr. Wuagneux serves as a part of Rapid Response Teams in Conflict Zones. In addition to Co-Authoring the 2012-2013 World Conflict Report, she was Peer Reviewer for DFID’s seminal work: Social Conflict Assessment Afghanistan, 2008.
Dr. Wuagneux continues to develop M&E assessment tools, impending conflict indices & early warning systems, as well as publishing articles in journals, such as: Leverage, the Systems’ Thinker, Small Wars Journal, and Cultural Survival Quarterly. She lives with her family in Vermont.
